In the fall of 2018, 1791 Gunleather’s “Project Stealth” offered a first-of-its-kind product line, bonding leather and carbon fiber into one solid holster. In the past, gun-toters have had to choose between the comfort of leather and the extreme durability of carbon fiber. Now you get the best of both worlds.

Unlike traditional leather holsters, there is no warping on a sunny dashboard, and no cracking, splitting, or snagging in extreme cold or wet weather conditions. Unlike traditional carbon fiber, these holsters do not possess the same hefty bulk or rigidity. You get the body-conforming comfort of leather, as well as the silent draw and black corrugated look of carbon fiber.

This is the same flexible carbon fiber atom filaments used in the production of high-end automobile components, bicycle frames, fishing rods, iPhone cases, drones, and Formula-1 race cars. These holsters are NOT simply “carbon fiber coating” over a flimsy piece of flawed leather. Instead, the carbon fiber is BONDED to the same top-quality heavy Native steerhide you get with any 1791 Gunleather holster.
