Jacksonville was one of America’s largest military and transportation hubs, home to a major international airport, one of the nation’s busiest naval bases, and critical highway and seaport infrastructure. When the outbreak reached the First Coast, military quarantine zones were established throughout the city in an attempt to contain the infection. They failed.

Operation: JAX follows a survivor’s journey across Jacksonville, documenting the desperate fight to hold strategic landmarks as the city falls. Viewed through the optic of a rifle, each panel captures another mission through a city now ruled by the infected.
